[tbc] Biking incident

Hello,
    I just wanted to let everyone know that I did call the police yesterday
and they sent out an officer to take a report.  She said she would send it
to the North Tulsa Division and perhaps when they read it they will start
patrolling that area more.  She didn't sound too positive.  Afterwards, her
suggestion was that I find someplace else to ride.
    Also, I had forgotten that I had also ridden that trail with another
friend about a month ago on a Monday afternoon and while waiting for traffic
at a cross street I was approached by a black woman in the company of 2 or 3
black men and she was asking for money.  She stood right in front of my bike
and I had to refuse her several times before she would move out of my way.
    In addition, today I sent a letter to The Editor of The Tulsa World and
ask them to publish it without my name.  I don't know if they will or not.
I am also sending a copy to the Parks Department.
    Abby Ross of Channel 8 called Brenda Rollins today and said she was
going to do a piece on The Osage Trail and after hearing about our incident
from Carol Bush wants to interview Brenda.  If that all comes together it
should be on the 5 or 6 o'clock news on Channel 8 tomorrow evening.  
    Maybe this will bring about more public awareness of the dangers on
Osage Trail...Eve
