  You may have recently heard that Mayor Taylor is forming a panel to help develop a "Complete our Streets Plan".  The committee is broken down into three groups, one focusing on construction methods and practices, one focusing on funding, and last but not least one considering the citizen's needs including those with disabilities, pedestrian use, neighborhood needs and cyclists.
  As a Civil Engineer specializing in traffic/transportation I applied for and was accepted onto the panel.  First and foremost I want to suggest what I feel is best for the city as a citizen and engineer, but secondly as a cyclist.  If anyone has any suggestions, concerns or wants I beg for your opinion!  And especially if anyone (I KNOW their are some hard core advocates out there) knows of any comparable cities that have incorporated successful bicycle infrastructure please pass it on!
  I realize of course only so much can be done, but for the time being I'm really excited and invite my cycling community to help out!
