Ok, we've got to the point now where INCOG and the City has no doubt that many consider bike lanes to be dangerous and for the most point not wanted within the biycycling community.
   
  However, the main strive for bike lanes, in my opinion whether it is safer or only gives the illusion of safety, is that it will increase ridership.  Once ridership increases a number of great things happen.  How would you propose to increase ridership?
