[tbc] riding Sand SPrings to Claremore? Safe?

Hi-

I would like to ride my bike from Prattville to Claremore via Mohawk Park.
Is the route to Mohawk from Edison/Gilcrease safe as far as traffic and
other hazards? I have the route from Mohawk to Claremore firmly in my mind
but do not recall ever riding to Mohawk from SS. I need to figure out a
fairly straightforward (not too meandering), yet safe, approx 5-hour
training ride April 1 that also allows me to hook up with some other
cyclists in Claremore by 1 pm. 2-3 hours to Claremore then back.

 

BTW I trust that riding east on Hwy 20 from Skiatook is not too safe, or
else I would approach Claremore from the west: Rock Road to Skiatook Lake
area then east to Claremore.. How crazy is Hwy 20?
