Hey y'all~

JULY 14 8:00 a.m. Grassy place on west end of Avery at Hwy 97 bridge

I have a $20 gift card for Road ID in my hot little hands. it is the door
prize for the next Avery Drive Trash-n-Dash clean up! I also will have some
of the usual small goodies to pass out. (Mike Schooling gets sooo excited
about Espresso Love Gu!) So go to www.roadid.com <http://www.roadid.com/>
and start thinking about what you may want to get in case you win! They have
lots of neat-o accessories too. I will wear my Road-ID to show you an
example of ID to keep you safe (with peace-of-mind for family) on your next
ride (and it ties in to last month's TBC First Aid speaker too)

We hope to be linking up with the Wheelmen again. It's nice to be able to
have inter-club things like this!

Sharon Henry should be putting the finishing touches on the Travelin'
Trophy. I know she is quite eager to get rid of ---er, I mean, pass on---
this delightful conversational piece. You, too, could be the lucky one to
temporarily house this work of art (trash)! Just so ya know, if you win the
trophy, you must add on some other artifact you found while cleaning Avery
Drive. BUT you have to show up at the next ADCU to pass it on. So we'll see
Sharon out there at least, right Sharon?!

(((Hmmm we do find some rather interesting things out there, don't we?!
Plenty of choices with which to augment the trophy, eh?!)))

As for the post-clean-up festivities: you will have an option of a bike
washing party at my house, which is very close by, or we can do a ride from
my house either to Shell Lake or out Coyote Trail. Or head south to Lake
Sahoma. BYOB if you'd like. I will provide bike-cleaning paraphernalia,
shade, a 10-foot wide breezy porch with a restful view of a pretty
"mountain" in our neighborhood, some lawn chairs, rocking chairs, (and a
potty in case you BYOB to excess). My kids (AKA "my little minions") should
be able to help cool you down with their errant water hose trajectories. If
you're lucky they will clean your bike for you too!

So if your bike is yucky from Freewheel and you're temporarily sick of
cycling, come on by the house after we get Avery all pretty again! If you
are still rarin' to go ride, the hills unfurl out my front door step!

~Carolyn

(I live at 137th W Ave and 41st street in the second cul-de-sac of Spring
Lake Mountain Estates in case you meet up with us for the bike washing only)
