Those who came out and cleaned up Avery Drive last time (July 14) know that
I found a live and healthy kitten along side the road while cleaning up the
grassy bank where Hwy 97 curves onto Hwy 51 (the grassy area we all park in
during the trash clean-up. It surprised the heck out of me since he was so
close to all the traffic. He just came bounding up to me meowing his little
head off. He likely was dumped not too long before I came upon him. But he
was down in the trees some, so who knows. Loida Delgado ran over to Homeland
and got him some canned food, which he wolfed down.

ANYway, good thing he was found by a veterinarian.. He is now awaiting
adoption at the clinic I work at in Sand Springs. He is a male Domestic
Shorthair (fancy name for mixed breed) and is tabby and white. He is about
10 weeks old by now. He is negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline
Immunodeficiency Virus. He has been de-wormed, de-flea'd and has had his
first vaccinations. He gets some more vaccinations next week. He will need a
final round at about 14-16 weeks of age.

He is very sweet and well-socialized, and lays calmly in my arms while I
walk him around the bustling clinic. He gets played with regularly by the
staff's kids, and by me when I can. He is a purr machine too. (Male tabbies
usually are very pleasant cats). I have been calling him Avery. I have five
animals in my home already, (three are rescues) so my place is full..

HE NEEDS A HOME!

Contact me off the list for more info. I am paying for his care so far, and
can work out something (if needed) for his final vaccinations and neuter
surgery (at about 4 months or 4 pounds). He comes with a free bag of kitten
food. Also I have handouts on introducing a new pet to an existing pet.

Thanks-

Carolyn
